First off, in my opinion,  the name that the owner chooses for his pet cat will not only show the cat’s integrity, but in addition, how the owner views his relationship with his pet cat. As much as the name says about the cat, the name given by the owner will tell you a lot in regards to the owner himself. It could then be seen how the identity of the cat  can paint a view of the traits of the cat. Many cat names give further insight or unhelpful impression of the cat. It is absolutely wrong  to change the cat’s title every two weeks just because the owner finds another name he thinks he might prefer. Although the cat will not object to any name its owner should want to use, it’s just not fair to present the cat with an embarrassing name. While the cat wouldn’t be embarrassed to have a weird name,  it might be embarrassing for the owner to really to use this name when others are present. Think about using this weird name when calling for your cat outside in the neighborhood, or introducing your cat with this name to your grandmother. The cat’s owner should find a great name for his pet, one which he will be proud to use.
A name with two syllables will do best. The response of animals is better to two-syllable names. A cat owner may decide to provide his pet with a long name, and then give him a “nickname” that is shorter. For instance “Geraldine” and call him “Gerry” for everyday use. Then when introducing his pet, the pet will be introduced as “Geraldine”.
The cat’s breed heritage might also offer great ideas for names. For instance, if the cat is a Siamese cat, why not name it “Siam”? If the cat is a Russian Blue, it would be neat to name it a Russian-sounding or Russian impressed name reminiscent of “Sofia” or “Boris”.
Talking of inspiration, there are a whole lot of ideas out there from which you can gather inspiration. As was mentioned previously, the name the owner offers his cat will say just as a much about himself as the cat. So why not get a great reputation for the cat which is derived from the landlord’s likes, hobbies and favorites? If the owner loves history, maybe the names “Venus”, Genghis, “Hemingway”  or “Cesare” would sound very stylish. Or if the owner likes movies, names like “Garbo”, “Lucy”, or “Bogart” would be a great choice.
Naming your cat isn’t the simplest mission there may be. Nonetheless, it may be a source of great fun if these considerations and options are implemented. You chose your pet from hundreds of others, you placed your new pet in your home because you wanted to have a pet – now choose the name wisely because, hopefully, you will be using it many times a day – for many years to come
